South East Chambers is made up of the 9 Chambers of Commerce in the South East ( Carlow, Clonmel, Dungarvan, Enniscorthy, Gorey, Kilkenny, New Ross, Waterford and Wexford). Membership is open to all Chambers in the South East County's (Wexford, Waterford, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Carlow & Wicklow)
Following a highly successful Conference entitled "Driving the South West Agenda" in January 2005, a Task Group comprising representatives of all the chambers in the Region was set up and has been busily working on South East Agenda 2020. This document sets out the situation with regard to the economy of the South East and lists priorities for action which is aimed at increasing the prosperity of the region. This report was launched in late May 2005 and will be presented to Government Ministers and other public representatives. The next stage in this process will be the development of specific business plans for the various parts of the region and the 2020 vision is for a cohesive prosperous region with economic success shared equitably throughout a region which offers a good quality of life.
